About Me

My name is Jordan Green and I am a photographer based out of Leeds, United Kingdom. I am eighteen years old and studied last year in college Photography, Art and Product Design. I plan to do a degree course for Photography at university which I have applied for.

My first experience in photography began many years ago when I first picked up my mums old then brand new film camera most likely some kodak, and then later on when she would have camcorders filming the family vacations and slowly digital cameras taking the photos for the family outings and vacations. I then got my first digital camera around 3 years ago now then upgraded to a advanced point and shoot camera, I then very quickly outgrew the capabilities of that camera, and went on and purchased my first DLSR; Canon 350D. Year or so later on here I am with a lot more photography equipment and lot less cash in the wallet. I still have my 350D along with 4 other lenses and external lighting.

I like to work within the portraiture field of photography mostly because I like to express peoples personality through the photos I take of them. I feel also that the composition of these photos makes them what they are not the post processing afterwards. I like to also combine two of my loves which are music and photography and I like to photograph the music scene, be it live gigs or music promo shoots, to me its a real interest as they are two things I love combined into one.

I have many inspirations with my photography, mostly coming from music and the people I photograph, but then also actual photography techniques other photographers have used. I like to think that I bring this new fresh style of portrait photography to show the people as they are in the photos.

You can find me online at many places mainly at Flickr where I post all of my photos. Also online at MySpace, where I keep connected with other photographers on MySpace. I also tent show myself in the JPG Mag website and also POTN forums.

If you want me to photograph you, your band, or anything else just contact me through a message or by email and we can sort something out.
